Master of Science in Environmental and Public Health Management (EPHM), Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU).
As a science graduate, the passion for experimentation and the spirit of adventure are important. We need to try from errors and learn from mistakes. The journey ahead of may not be easy. You may feel frustrated and depressed sometimes when you find the door locked and you may not find the way out. But do trust yourself and never give up. Learn from yesterday and you will have help for tomorrow.
LAM Wai Yan, Yanky (HK). First class honours graduate of 2016.
I am so pleased that I have chosen to join the EPHM family two years ago. I really learned a lot and have improved in a lot of ways during the one year master study. During the study, I have substantiated myself with knowledge on management under a special and liberal teaching and social culture. I have the chance to make a lot of new friends who also have become my role models in a lot of ways. At HKBU, knowledge is not the only thing being taught. I have learnt how to work with other students and have chances to gain real working experience. As a result, I am now more confident than ever of my communication ability and professional knowledge, both of which will continue to be my assets for the rest of my life.
LUO Xiuqi (China). Graduate of 2016.
To be a manager in the business field, it is crucial to take environmental issues into consideration. The extensive scope that the EPHM curriculum covers has led us to think of different perspectives, and it has given us the necessary tools to look for a career. With knowledge gained from the programme, I aspire to enter the auditing field and to check if companies are committed to complying with environmental rules and regulations. Demand in this profession is soaring not only in Hong Kong but anywhere around the world.
