Master of Engineering Science (Electrical Engineering)

This course is designed to allow a graduate in electrical engineering to proceed to further studies in a particular field by means of advanced coursework and a project. This course offers streams in Embedded Systems, Emerging Power Systems. Under the guidance of the course coordinator optional units can provide specialisation in areas not covered by the main streams. A one-year, design project must be undertaken to demonstrate technical knowledge and professional skills at postgraduate level.
Course Entry Requirements
A Bachelor of Engineering degree in electronic, communications, electrical, electrical power or computer systems from a recognised university. The degree must include topics on circuit theory, computer programming, probability theory and electronic design. The Head of Department will consider applications from other graduates in engineering on a case-by-case basis.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Applications for credit for recognised learning are assessed on an individual basis.
Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
