Energy has become a dominant issue in current time. This MSc programme focuses on prevailing alternative energy technologies as well as socio-economic consequences in their implementations. It is of great prospects to study in an international university, and further your study in a promising career.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission, applicants:

1) Should possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or recognized institution of higher studies; although preference will be given to holders of degrees in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and appropriate disciplines of Engineering, and Environmental Study, we welcome a multi-disciplinary intake of students, as this is consistent with the special character of our programme. OR
2) Should possess a professional qualification equivalent to tertiary academic level, from the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, a member institute in the British Engineering Council, etc.;
3) With work experience is an advantage but not essential;
4) Who are non-local candidates from and institution where medium of instruction is not English shall have to satisfy one of the followings:

  • A TOEFL score ≥ 537 (paper-based test), or 74 (internet-based test);
  • An overall band score ≥ 6.0 in international English Language Testing System (IELTS)
  • Score ≥ 450 in the new College English Test (CET6) of China
