The School of Postgraduate Studies supports, administers and coordinates the training of higher degrees (Masters and PhD) by research and taught Masters programmes within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. As one of the five Schools in the Faculty, the School of Postgraduate Studies strives to ensure that all these activities are carried out to the highest standards. The School aims to produce graduates with attributes that are sought by a wide range of employers, facilitates the development of research amongst its staff, strengthens linkages with other Research Institutes, and facilitates research-led approaches to teaching.
Our research centres are home to our innovative researchers who conduct research in five thrust areas, namely environmental and population health, bioactive molecules and drug discovery, cancer and stem cell research, health professions education, as well as translational research.
