The programme is an outcomes-based curriculum and consists of a 6 modules delivered on a modular basis over 3 semesters. Teaching and learning is delivered and supervised by highly qualified and experienced local and international specialists from the multidisciplinary areas of diabetes care, and extends beyond the provision of education to include theory, research, and the educator role into professional practice to generate individualised self-management solutions for people with diabetes.

Entry Requirement
Registered Nurse / Assistant Medical Officer / Dietitian / Pharmacist / Physiotherapist / Clinical Psychologist / Podiatrist / Medical Practitioner with a Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline and a minimum CGPA of 2.50*

Registered (if appropriate) with Nursing / Assistant Medical Officer / Pharmacy / Medical Practitioner Board of Malaysia or country of origin or its equivalent

Minimum 2 years of working experience in their professions
* If bachelor’s degree in related discipline is a CGPA of less than 2.50, a minimum of 2 years working experience in a related field of diabetes management and education is required.
