The Internet Engineering programme aims at producing professionals who will spearhead the design and direction of future Internet architecture, infrastructure and applications. This programme equips graduates with advanced and profound concepts that underlie the design and implementation of Internet-based systems. In addition, students will also acquire practical skills that are crucial for entering the job market.

Malaysian students

  • 1st year - RM 20, 500

Entry requirements 

 Malaysian Students

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Computer, Telecommunication) or related field

• Pass with minimum CGPA of 2.50 (on 4-point grading scale) or minimum CGPA of 6.5 (on 10 points grading scale) or pass with minimum

• Postgraduate Diploma in Internet Engineering

• Pass minimum CGPA of 2.75 (on 4-points grading scale). Candidates from Postgraduate Diploma in Internet Engineering may transfer all credits taken under the Postgraduate Diploma with the recommendation of the Faculty Postgraduate Committee)

• Other equivalent qualifications that are recognized by Malaysian Government

• Must sit for IUMW English Placement test

International Students

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Computer, Telecommunication) or related field

• Pass with minimum CGPA of 2.50 (on 4-point grading scale) or minimum CGPA of 6.5 (on 10 points grading scale), or pass with minimum second class

• Postgraduate Diploma in Internet Engineering

• Pass minimum CGPA of 2.75 (on 4-points grading scale). Candidates from Postgraduate Diploma in Internet Engineering may transfer all credits taken under the Postgraduate Diploma with the recommendation of the Faculty Postgraduate Committee)

• Other equivalent qualifications that are recognized by Malaysian Government; AND

• Pass IELTS with minimum Band 6, or TOEFL with minimum score of 550 or MUET with minimum Band 4 or IUMW Intensive English Programme at Level 6

• Must sit for IUMW English Placement test
