This is a research based programme

The IUMW’s Masters of Science in Project Management is the first programme of its kind to integrate advanced knowledge in cross-cultural management with international industry experience in a multicultural learning environment from both East and West continents.

The programme is designed with extensive academic rigour to benefit those in research, academic, consultancy and managerial positions. This will see them demonstrate the body of knowledge in project management across and within various functional areas such as management, finance, human resources, information systems, and operations to name a few.

Project management offers a wide range of career prospects as core skills in project management are important for making a business successful in any industry from engineering and manufacturing sectors to service-based areas. Every day thousands of job opportunities in project management are advertised in job seeking engines worldwide offering high-income careers for project management graduates in diverse areas. The dynamic nature of the practical industry drives the need for innovation leaders who can respond to challenges and expectations of the new century. Given this breadth of opportunities, the programme is committed to providing the best learning experience with current all-embracing content to suit the varying needs of industry practice on an international scale.

Malaysian students

  1. 1st year - RM 19, 900
  2. 2nd year - RM 8, 500

International students

  1. 1st year - RM 28, 500
  2. 2nd year - RM 10, 200

Entry requirements

1. Malaysian Students:

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in any field with minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate
  2. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of five (5) years working experience
  3. Pass IUMW English Placement Exam

2. International Students:

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in any field with minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate
  2. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of five (5) years working experience
  3. Pass IELTS with a minimum score of 6.0
  4. TOEFL (paper) with minimum score of 600
  5. Pass IUMW English Placement Exam

Application

We are excited that you are applying to the International University of Malaya-Wales. Throughout the application process, please read all instructions carefully. You will need to prepare the following documents for your application:

  1. Verified copies of your academic qualifications
  2. Evidence of English language proficiency
  3. A copy of your MyKad or the identification page of your passport

Additional notes

  1. Fees are subjected to change, for international student may have to refer to latest exchange rates.
  2. Additional cost my incurred depending on situation (Accommodation, laboratories equipment/materials, etc.)
  3. Encourage to study and research laws in Malaysia, as a Muslim majority country, it is advisable for international students to understand our country's strict rules and culture.
