Precision Agriculture or better known as Precision farming is a farming management system based on the use of modern technologies. In other words, a technology and information based farm management system to identify, analyse and control parameters in fields or plantations to increase crop production, yield, quality, safety and others. Data collected using sensor technology, IOT will allow farmers to optimise the use of fertilisers, pesticide, water for different crops, land areas, to improve soil quality, execute targeted key interventions to increase safety, quality, standard and yield of crops.
We have a list of exciting research projects in the areas of IOT precision agriculture based analytic enabled Smart farming to develop IOT based systems as well as the usage of data analytic for precision farming applications.
